Ways to Donate to St. Joseph Hospital Foundation
For over 85 years, St. Joseph Hospital has enjoyed tremendous community support. Today, more than ever, St. Joseph Hospital depends on contributions from our grateful patients and community members. You gifts, no matter the size, make a tremendous difference in the lives of our families, friends and neighbors here on the North Coast. Every supporter of St. Joseph Hospital whose cumulative giving is $1,000 or more is honored with a plaque on the hospital's main donor wall in the lobby.
To Make a Donation
Gifts made by check or credit card are the most common ways to give . Checks should be made payable to St. Joseph Hospital Foundation and sent to the address below. We strive to provide written acknowledgement of all gifts within two days of receipt, and all donations are tax deductible according to current tax laws. You can also help support St. Joseph Hospital’s Blueprint for Excellence construction project by donating at the register when shopping at the North Coast Co-op in Arcata and Eureka:
Participate in the program by giving the donation number 82021 at checkout or just say you want to support St. Joseph Hospital. The Co-op adds 1 percent of your total to your bill, all of which goes directly to the SJH Foundation for Blueprint for Excellence.
Past gifts from individuals and businesses have helped us to purchase state-of-the-art equipment and to offer life-saving programs and services. Below are just a few examples.
HOW YOU CAN BECOME PART OF ST. JOSEPH HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
There are a number of ways you may participate in the development of a strong and lasting foundation for our community:
- Become a volunteer or join a committee of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation and/or assist us with events
- When you receive something from us in the mail inviting you to participate in an event, campaign, individual appeal, educational seminar, etc., use this opportunity to make a gift or to learn more about St. Joseph Hospital
- Join The Mother Bernard Circle Donor Club - Founded in 2000 in honor of Mother Bernard Gosselin, the founder of St. Joseph Hospital, donor club members contribute between $250 and $1500 annually, and enjoy special invitations to gatherings as well as beautiful angel pins, designed by Holly Yashi. - Establish a fund with a deferred gift that will come to the Foundation after your lifetime, or leave a gift of any size to an existing fund through your will. For more information, click on Income For Life & Estate Gifts
- Contribute any amount to the area of greatest need, or to an area of interest fund, such as Cancer Program, Childbirth Center, Emergency Department, Heart Institute and Kris Kelly Health Information Center.
